CMDC is equipped with basic consultation instruments. Complete set of clinical consultation facilities, diagnostic sets, electrocardiograph (ECG), bedside monitor, oxygen saturation monitor, spirometer, ophthalmoscope, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), various standard charts and graphs are available to complete an ideal pediatric and general medical clinic and child health center.
CMDC utilizes all the facilities available for the patients in the vicinity, specialized centers in Kathmandu valley, and abroad, if necessary.
Dr. Narayan Bahadur Basnet is the consultant pediatrician and pediatric cardiologist and the director of CMDC. He has done his MBBS from Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu, Nepal and postgraduate training on pediatrics from the Graduate School of Medicine, The University of Tokyo Hospital Japan. He has obtained his Ph.D. in clinical pediatrics and pediatric cardiology from the University of Tokyo. He has also completed postdoctoral research fellowship from The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) in the University of Tokyo, Japan. He has worked as a clinician and clinical researcher in the same university. He was formerly associated with Kanti Children’s Hospital consulting/caring children with congenital and acquired heart diseases. He has experienced as full-time expatriate doctor in Cambodia. He has also escorted critically ill children, adults and elderly patients of different ailments to various countries such as USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands, and Norway etc. He is the founder of Nepal Medical Association (NMA)-Khadga Nanda Medical Research Award [Established in 2017].
Dr. Sangeeta Baral Basnet is the Consultant Dermatologist, Venereologist and
Leprologist affiliated with CMDC. She has done her MBBS from Calcutta Medical College, Calcutta
University, India. She obtained Ph.D. in clinical dermatology from Juntendo University School of
Medicine, Tokyo, Japan. She is based in Kathmandu and can be contacted in: (977) 9851122090.
